JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In your role as a child secretary within foster care, you will primarily work on following up the care of children and young people placed in foster homes. In your daily work, you will ensure that placed children and young people have their needs and rights met. You will meet the child/youth regularly and conduct child conversations, safety assessments, and make assessments regarding contact with parents. Work to ensure that children placed away from their parents are involved in their own care and understand why they are placed. Furthermore, you will handle ongoing documentation in the case, make considerations and reassessments of care, and be involved in investigations that occur during the placement. You will have access to close supervision. The team consists of three child secretaries and two foster care secretaries. Within foster care in Klippan, there is a structured approach to ensure care for the children and young people who are placed in foster homes.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent and experience working with investigations and interventions within social services, preferably for children and youth. Furthermore, you have experience in authority exercise and good knowledge of the laws governing the work with placed children. It is an advantage if you have knowledge of BBIC and have previously worked with children placed outside their own home. You have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form, good documentation skills, and current knowledge of social legislation as well as a valid driver's license.

We place great importance on personality and see that you have personal maturity, meaning that you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. You work independently and drive your processes forward and take responsibility. You create relationships with the placed children and have good collaboration with biological parents, foster homes, and other important adults for the child.
